Chocolate fondue is popular for many reasons: because it is fun, because it is delicious, and because many people were given a chocolate fountain for Christmas two years ago. This yummy recipe does not require a fountain, it will stay soft and smooth for several hours at room temperature.
Almost anything is delicious dipped in the chocolate: fresh fruit (berries, bananas, apples, grapes, pineapple, oranges, nectarines, and coconut), cookies, pretzels, rice crispy treats, cake, or graham crackers. This is also excellent as a sauce poured over ice cream or any other dessert that goes well with chocolate sauce.
